Dublin Bus accessibility initiatives and how they apply to the wheelchair user.

Dublin Bus is committed to giving a quality service that suits all of their customers and in so doing they are making their fleet accessible. They aim to have a totally accessible fleet by 2012. All low-floor buses have one space for a person using a wheelchair and can fit all standard wheelchairs up to 70cm wide and 120cm long.

Dublin Bus have a complaints procedure where breaches of the Disability Act, 2005 occur.

Dublin Bus operate a 'Travel Assistance Scheme' which is available to anyone who would like to use Dublin's public transport system but needs a little help getting started. It offers practical advice on planning your journey and can provide a trained member of staff to accompany you the first few times you travel.
