Charity Wax Night 2012

Easi-Cab and HOMELink's Charity Wax Night on October 12th, 2012, was a great success. We raised over €1,000 for Easi-Cab/HOMELink, and lots of fun was had by all who came along to support us. Along with the waxing of the staff, we also held a raffle with wacky prizes to be won. There were plenty of laughs shared by all and a few screams by those who were being waxed. Hope to see many of you for our next event whenever that may be.

Easi-Cab provides a wheelchair taxi service covering South Dublin and all of Wicklow. Our aim is to get people who might not be able to get to public transport out and about.

HOMELink was set up to support older people in our community. The service provides a friendly call to keep people in touch, basic maintenance for home and garden and coffee mornings to meet up with old friends and to make new ones.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Oh this will hurt

The waxing volunteers were employees of both Easi-Cab and HOMELink, plus some close friends and relatives.

A lovely lady, Ciara Healy, performed the waxing on the night.

Ciara is from Bray and has lots of experience in all areas of the beauty industry.

If you would like to get in touch with Ciara and find out all about her and what other Beauty Therapies she has to offer. Click on Ciara in the pink button below.

Our Victims, errr, Volunteers

Dave, giving a yell of joy ?  I know Ciara was enjoying herself.

Ahhh, thank goodness that's over.

Ciara working hard.  Michael, looking forward to it, really !

Michael, really, he WAS enjoying it.  Note the sympathy pouring out of the on-lookers.

What, you couldn't make it?

You can still support your favourite volunteer.

What happened on the night was that our Brave Volunteers met us all down at The Strand.

There was a little bit of socializing and a few drinks.

THEN WE WERE INTO THE MAIN EVENT

Stripping off of the t-shirt, rolling up of the trousers.

YOU really had to be there to get the feel for it.

If you felt the need to do the waxing yourself we had an

and if that was not enough excitement for one night, there was more,  there is always more.

We also had a Wacky Raffle on the night.

To add even more spice..........
