Luas is a state of the art light rail or tram transit system that provides an attractive and unique alternative to the private car. It offers accessibility for all  with well thought out surfacing, furniture, Stop facilities, large visible signage, audio announcements and destination displays all serve to make the system easier to navigate.

The RPA (Railway Procurement Agency) and the operating company, Veolia Transport Dublin Light Rail Ltd have been proactive in establishing procedures and implementing staff training & awareness initiatives, which further enhance the accessibility of the system.

Travel on these trams is free for those with a Department of Social & Family Affairs (DSFA) pass and pensioners and there’s no restriction on when you can travel.

Veolia Transport Ireland Ltd  operate the service on behalf of RPA, the authority responsible for the procurement of railway infrastructure systems in a public - private partnership.

Easi-Cab is available to take you to your nearest stop so that you may benefit from using this great system.  Don't forget to book your return journey and we will meet you on your return.

Veolia Transport  is the transport division of Veolia Environnement, Europe's largest private passenger transport company.

The map below shows the routes supported by the Red and Green lines. There is no direct interchange between the two lines which require a walk of some 1.1Km.  Fortunately, the terrain is reasonably flat and part of the distance takes in the pedestrianised Grafton Street.
